With the reveal of this two concept arts it might be a good idea to post something about the tracks locations in the game.
The basic set of tracks will include:
- 2 track configurations in the giant indoor arena
- 3 track configurations in high altitude mountain area
- 3 track configurations in the post industrial area
All of them will be high-end race tracks, epic scale venues build for the spectacular races of the future. However the riders safety was not the top priority when the tracks were designed and built. You may expect some crazy layouts with jumps, narrowings and ultra high speed sections.
The track configurations within a single area will share some parts, but combined with new sections and explored in both directions will provide quite a different racing experience.
Some other ideas for the future include a street track and an underground venue, but this ideas will have to wait a little bit longer.
It looks like Christmas is coming early this year for some Unity devs. Mobile licenses for Unity are supposed to be free from now on. If this is true we are switching from our licensed 3.5.7 to the brand new 4.1 here at cameleon-labs today or maybe tomorrow :)
This would mean that we will move the Rascal Raider project to Unity 4 right now, saving lots of time and efforts in the future with Linux or Windows Mobile versions.
